Bucket and the Whited Sepulchre is a radio play by James Hendrie. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 03 August 2000, as an installment of the Afternoon Play. The duration is 45 minutes[1].


A comedy thriller. Inspector Bucket, a Victorian detective created by Charles Dickens in his novel Bleak House, has an unusual approach to solving the crime of a murderous, pleasure-seeking vicar - he appears so bumbling and incompetent that his suspects drop their guard.
