Kay Patrick

Kay Patrick (born 02 September 1941) is a television producer and director. She trained in acting at RADA, and appeared in episodes of TV series such as Z Cars, Doctor Who, and Crossroads. She began reading scripts for the BBC, and eventually came to direct radio plays, which she continued to do over the course of many years[1].

After working as an actress, Patrick transitioned into directing and producing. She directed her first episode of Emmerdale in 1972, and later became a producer on the revamped Crossroads. Patrick continues to work as a director, most recently helming many episodes of Coronation Street.

Notable radio work includes plays by Alan Ayckbourn and Don Haworth. She directed several plays that won Giles Cooper Awards: Daybreak, Temporary Shelter, Myths and Legacies, and Remember Me.
