Louise (formely known as "Loo") Brealey (born 1979 - Bozeat, Northamptonshire, England)
Read history at Cambridge University before training at
the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, New York City and with clown "guru" Philippe Gaulier.
As well as acting Louise Brealey also has a successful career as a writer and journalist.
Brealey made her professional stage debut in 2001 as 14-year-old Sophie in Judy Upton's Sliding With Suzanne at the Royal Court. She played Thomasina in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia at the Bristol Old Vic in 2005 and in 2007 worked with Sir Peter Hall on the premiere
of Simon Gray's Little Nell. In 2008, Brealey won critical acclaim playing Sonya in Sir Peter Hall's production of Uncle Vanya, at London's Rose Theatre.
She made her debut on television as Student Nurse Roxy Bird in two series of the BBC drama Casualty.
She then played Judy Smallweed in the 2005 BBC Television adaptation of Bleak House and has
recently made regular appearances in Sherlock.
