Love is an Existential Thing is a radio play by David Pownall. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 22 July 2003, as an installment of the Afternoon Play[1][2].


When the father of Existentialism, Soren Kierkegaard, falls in love with the unlikely Regina Olsen, he is too busy deconstructing the nature of the emotion he is experiencing, to notice that he breaking his lover's heart - with calamitous results.
