On the Whole It's Been Jolly Good is a radio monologue by Peter Tinniswood, written to celebrate actor Maurice Denham's 60 years in broadcasting. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 27 April 1998, as an installment of the Afternoon Play[1].
