The Gunshot Wedding is a radio play by Katie Hims. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 22 February 2007, as an installment of the Afternoon Play. The play received a Writers Guild Radio Award for Best Drama in 2009 [1].
Plot[]
Aidan, 14, tells us the story of Leila Jones, the skinny girl from across the road. Her mum's fallen for a cowboy at line-dancing, except he's really a telephone engineer. Then she finds a gun in her brother's bedroom.
