The Jumping Mimuses of Byzantium is a radio play by Peter Barnes. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on 20 September 1981, and won a Giles Cooper Award that same year[1]

Maya, an aging saint of the early Christian church, tells of his life, consecrated to faith and voluntary poverty, and of the incident which enriches it immeasurably by planting at the core of his faith a sacred seed of doubt.
