The Life of Man is a radio play by John Arden. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio in 1956. Winning the BBC's Northern Region Award that same year, it launched Arden's national career[1].

Inspired by Moby Dick, the story of an ill-fated packet-boat with a mad captain.
