The Stalin Sonata is a radio play by David Zane Mairowitz. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 01 August 1989, and won a Giles Cooper Award that same year. The length is 70 minutes[1].


Dark comedy about the dilemma of a Russian broadcaster after Stalin requests a record by a pianist long since forgotten in a prison.
