Under the Wool is a radio play by David Pownall. It was first broadcast on BBC Radio on 25 October 1976. The running time is 75 minutes[1][2].

A conflict of interests. A valley holds the promise of oil from shale. The wife doesn't want the valley dug up; her husband, who used to be a mining engineer, does. The guy who looks after the sheep also has strong opinions, and then there are the rustlers.
